I bought a twin pack and installed it in a double wall switch.The hardest part of the installation was to tie 6 neutral wires together with a supersized wire nut that I had to furnish myself. The wire nuts that came with the switches aren’t big enough to tie six wires together.You’ll need to determine which is the load wire and which is the line wire (or hot wire) using either a non-contact AC voltage detector or a multimeter.Why are there 6 neutral wires, you may ask. Well, in my junction box, there are two 3-conductor Romex cables coming in and two 3-conductor Romex cables going out. That gives 4 neutral wires already and they were all joined together by one crimped connector by the electrician who installed the wiring in the house and I didn’t want to risk something going wrong by separating the neutral wires into two different circuits without understanding why the four wires were joined together by the electrician in the first place. Now add two more neutral pigtails to connect from the 4 neutral wire junction to each of the two Wifi wall switches. That gives 6 neutral wires total that have to be tied together. The supplied neutral pigtails are quite short and are barely long enough.Wifi setup was not particularly troublesome. I connected the wires, powered up, and set up the switches one at a time. It took a few tries to connect to Wifi, but eventually the setup worked.The capacitative switch is very responsive. Just one light tapping in the middle is enough to turn on or off the switch.The twin pack comes with 2 single plates and one twin plate.

Wow!! For this price, I was a bit skeptical. I’d purchased another double-switch for a higher price that didn’t even work properly. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with this one and Wow! I am NOT good with electrical stuff at all. I’ve switched out ceiling lights and fans before so I thought I’d give this a shot. The instructions were super clear! The WiFi setup was even easier. End result: a fully functional, sleek looking Wi-Fi smart switch that I can easily control through my Alexa. Just WoW! I’m seriously gonna buy more to do my entire house after how easy and great this switch worked.

These have all started to fail and become inoperable.
Installed 6, have replaced 2 already and 2 more have just started failing. These work ok for a while them just die. Don’t waste your money.

Easy to install and set up.
This was pretty easy to install once I realized the strand wire they include won’t work with the terminals…had to strip some white solid wire from a piece of 14ga romex and use it. Incredibly easy to connect to wifi and Alexa.

Great Product for the price but………
I have just about completed my smart home. (Need only the thermostat) I bought this set of switches for a specific location at my front door. One is the porch light and the other my ceiling fan. They installed rather easily. You are supposed to install them on the Smart Life app first and then the Alexa app can find them easily and control them. This was the case for me. I have the garage door opener, several wifi A/C plugs to control lights and my TV, and these for the porch and ceiling fan. The reason for 3 stars:When my power goes out, all of my other appliances and my garage door opener return to normal use and have the IP Address stored within the devices as well as the on/off timers I have set in the app. The light switches purchased on Amazon do not come back up like everything else. I have to press and hold both switches for about 8-10 seconds. (Normal Setup) When they flash, I then go into my Smart Life App and add new devices and answer the questions to bring them online. With the PSPS’s (Power shut offs) where I live, I have had to manually reset them about 4 – 5 time and I’ve only owned them for about 2 months. It’s not the companies fault my power goes out a lot but when I’m out of town, I can use the porch light timer to show random activity or manually turn it on / off from anywhere until I return. When I loose power while away, then I have to wait till I get home and reset them yet again. I will be purchasing another brand that will keep up with my other smart devices. I may offer these for sale here for cheap!

I purchased these and one switch would not work. I received a replacement promptly and now the switches are good to go. I love the fact that Alexa can turn them on and off. They’re a little tricky to be detected when setting up the internet.

Bad news for those who buy those switches to put their own firmware and connect to their own server.The microcontroller isn’t an ESP8266 anymore. It’s a BK7231N.Useless for my projects and no other firmware is available yet.But for the average user not modifying stuff, it’s a very nice switch.
