Google nest access point, expensive for a renewed product
I previously purchased the Google Nest mesh system with just one access point and needed another. I accidentally purchased the modem point and had to return it, and finally got the access point. It was costly. I paid close to $100 for the entire mesh system, but this access point was around $75. Since there was a new generation, I figured it would not be that expensive, but it was. It works well, is easy to set up, and is instantly compatible with the rest of the system. You can’t beat the range this system provides. If you are looking to buy access points, thoroughly read about the product when searching for an extra point to ensure it is an access point, not a modem point. I have a two-story house. I installed the first mesh system to improve service in the back of the house because the kids couldn’t use their iPads in the back rooms, and now there is no problem receiving service. I found out that my neighbors can even get a good signal and run their TVs from my mesh. I purchased this point to get better service in the back part of the upstairs, and now my whole house has fast and reliable service. The signal strength is powerful, supporting up to six iPads and four TVs at one time. I just felt like it was too expensive just for one access point. The modem point was $35, but the access point was around $75. It was also a renewed product, which makes the price even more arguable, but I had to have one and normally only order from Amazon. I love the Google Nest mesh system, and I am glad that I invested in one in my house.

Mesh Network Point addition
Because this mesh technology is changing so so fast, selecting another point to my mesh needed to match versions. It did and the network expanded quickly, easily, and successfully.

This unit never worked out of the box from the Amazon Renewed Store
This point refuses to hook up to my network. At one point it told me it was configured in another language. I buy refurbished because I trust the vendor, but this is obviously not the case. When trying to hook up to it, it refuses the temporary wifi the installation process creates. The vendor should sell tested components and this unit was obviously defective and never refurbished. I would never buy another product from this vendor!

Physical Flaws Exist
I have to say, I was a little disappointed with how many physical flaws existed on this renewed product. For a Wi-Fi point, I wouldn’t expect this much damage (scratches, etc) on the face of the device even for a renewed product. Since I just needed one add-on point, I didn’t want to buy an entire kit new to get it. I thought going renewed would be the way to go. I still think it was the best route, but nearly $80 for a scratch and dent device seems a little much. Luckily, I can conceal this device somewhere where it won’t be an eye sore. Overall, the product worked great and as desired. Just dirty and dented up.

Works great and easy set up
Our house is roughly 3000 sq ft, and our router is not in a very central location. We were having issues with devices maintaining consistent strong connection in the areas of the house that were far away from the router. I bought a 3 pack of these (2 access points + 1 router), and after setting them up, our issues are completely gone. It took maybe 30-45 minutes to set them all up including creating and organizing rooms on the google home app to help with voice activation of the smart lights set up in the rooms. The instructions are very easy and the app guides you through setting them up step-by-step. You don’t need to be extremely knowledgeable with technology to get them working. Keep in mind the router version and access point version are two different but similar products.

Need just a little more instruction like where is the code?!
I was going to return this as I could not find the code to sign in with. But after coming on here and requesting a refund I decided to look through the reviews and luckily found someone saying it’s on bottom where the code sticker normally would be and that you need to take a photo and then hen enlarge photo then you will see code! Bingo that worked! Maybe seller needs to add that to direction booklet! Just hand write it! Would have saved a lot of stress! Anyway thanks and so excited to have this! Additional point!

Works, but has issues
While it works, it has issues. I needed another point to put in my garage to get internet to some exterior nest cameras. Mesh wifi seems pretty unstable. When I set it up it says it has a great connection, but every week it changes to weak connection and I need to restart the Mesh network to fix it. We got a cold spell where temperatures got down to -10 or so, this cause the point to go offline entirely which is good that it protects itself like that, but still a limitation I was not expecting.I would recommend this to random people, but not my friends.

El Google Nest funciona bien, pero es sorprendente, ya que el repartidor arrojó la caja por encima de una puerta de 4 metros de altura. ¡El peor servicio de entrega de la historia!

Compré el producto porque necesitaba un tercer punto de acceso a mi malla de Google Wifi. El producto como tal es muy bueno, pero el re acondicionamiento es muy malo.Venía todo manchado en la parte superior, parecía que alguien lo rayó con un lápiz blando y así lo enviaron, de hecho el cargador también traía manchas. Se pudo quitar quizá un 80% de todas esas marcas con un limpiador casero, pero no me parece correcto que lo anuncien como “está en excelentes condiciones” cuando tiene detalles cómo este.El producto es bueno, pero no recomiendo comprarlo con este distribuidor, busquen otra opción.
