Great tool!
I’m going to school to become an airplane mechanic and part of my training has been wiring up various electrical devices. Part of what involves is cutting and stripping wires. The Klein wire strippers are the best I’ve used.I’ve mostly used pliers style strippers in the past and always had trouble getting the insulation off, especially with stranded wire. The insulation either wouldn’t cut all the way through or some of the strands would break off or get nicked. These make stripping the wire fast and easy. You line the wire up with the right gauge and squeeze. No stands broken or stripped and the insulation comes off cleanly every time.I’ve had more experience cutting wire. I’ve used some really good pliers style wire cutters and some really awful ones. Again, these are some of the best I’ve used. The issue I’ve had with other cutters is that the end of the wire gets points because most cutters have a V shaped blade. The insulation stretches around the end and it can make stripping it off more difficult. It also just doesn’t look as nice as when it’s flush. These cutters have a hole you put the wire into up to 10 gauge, squeeze and you get a nice clean cut, no stretched insulation, no varying length of strands, just a flush cut that makes life so much easier.For $30 this is a must have if you do any regular work with copper wire. The only thing I wish this had was replaceable dies for the strippers like some more expensive strippers in this style do. The smallest wire you can strip with theses is 20 gauge, which generally is fine with the work I’ll be doing with them. However, many electronics use 22 or 24 gauge wires, so it’s a bit disappointing these won’t work for those sizes. Other than that I really can’t think of anything that I find lacking with these. They’re simple, practical, easy to use, and they just work. I’ll update my review if anything comes up as I use them, but as of my writing this, they’re amazing.

Great tool with one minor annoyance
Really nice tool. Seems really accurate for different guage wires. Doesn’t cut any strands. Super easy to use. My only complaint is that I wish the part that grabs the insulation was a bit closer to the cut. Sometimes, it slips off the insulation and doesn’t completely pull the jacket off. I would still highly recommend this product.

I was worried about this because some said it may not work for speaker wire….but I have the speaker wire that consists of 2 wires (it isn’t flat speaker wire), and this worked fantastic and exactly how the video shows it working!I’ve used it since for 3 different wiring jobs around my house and I would highly recommend this as it makes stripping wire nearly effortless!

Classic Klein Quality Tool!
What can one say that hasn’t been said? Klein tools are generally good quality and will last for years. This wire stripper is no exception! Spring loaded handles with reasonably soft and comfortable coverings return to the open position when released.Cutting jaws are sharp as well as correctly sized and aligned for wire stripping without tearing half the wire strands out or stripping half the solid wire off like less quality tools intended for the same purpose. Clamping jaws close tightly to hold your wire in place while stripping without smashing it as another brand I had did.An excellently designed, great commercial quality tool to have in your collection/tool-box/bag when needed! Enjoy!!!

Excelente pelacables, lo he usado diario por laras horas desde hace una semana que lo adquirí y sigue teniendo el mismo agarre al cortar el cable, cumple de manera impecable su función.-Ahorro tiempo al cortar cable en un solo movimiento (usar navaja o cutter retarda demasiado)-Viene con las medidas AWG para cortar cable o alambre (según sea el caso), al principio tardas en ubicar la ranura para el calibre que tienes, después te acostumbras y lo haces por instinto.-Sistema lubricado para evitar la corrosión de los componentes de corte y sujeción.-Excelentes materiales de construcción y buen diseño, personalmente me gusta el azul que eligieron.P.D. Adquirí la pinza ponchadora de esta misma marca y al igual que este pelacables me fascinó, como dicen las reseñas anteriores: Volvería a comprarlo y vale cada centavos.

Estava a procura de um decapador que fosse eficiente em decapara cabo solar, de modo a utizá-lo na crimpagem de conector MC-4. Esta ferrramenta atendeu plenamente essa expectativa e também a decapagem de cabos elétricos de acordo com sua especificidade.

Questa pinza ha una caratteristica molto buona rispetto alla concorrenza: l’aggiunta del taglio del cavo. Questa funzionalità è ben fatta e funziona molto bene. Peccato però che non sia altrettanto buona per quanto riguarda la lama di spelatura.I 6 setting di filo sono un po’ imprecisi, un po’ sfasati e ovalizzati….questo aspetto non mi è piaciuto.Che differenza c’è tra una lama ottima e una discreta ? Quella ottima è ben calibrata e rimuove l’ isolante con meno stress sul filo.Per un uso hobbistico questa pinza va più che bene e la funzione taglio le conferisce un valore aggiunto notevole. Per un uso professionale – a mio modesto parere – occorre migliorare la lama.
