Too large for my needs.
These lopers appear to be very sturdy and will likely cut very well as all the other pruning tools I have of this brand but the blade and anvil are too large manoeuver in the areas I need. If that isn’t a problem for you they will be great. I had to order a smaller size.

I read the bad reviews first, then ordered these and held my nose, as I’m clearing about 1,500 feet of forest for a large path for a tractor and full size pickup, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Thick dense woods combo of large medium and small trees. Let’s just say that whatever fits in the jaw goes down easy. I’m 6 feet2 inch tall, large upper body and strength, so the wide open jaw start does not affect me as would a smaller person, so consider that. I’m 59.5 years old. Awesome loppers, especially for the larger 2 inch small trees and saplings. I sprayed with silicone first, to keep them clean and operating smooth, then went to town… I can’t believe the speed and cut down hundreds of trees, did not even scratch these things. if you break these you must be doing something stupid. They will not disappoint!

This is a Big, Heavy Tool..Not For Smaller or Weaker Individuals
Need to cut through some big stuff? Are you hard on your tools? Then you might want to consider this Fiskar Lopper. It’s sharp blade made short work of the vines and small tree growth I used it on. It’s solidly made and it is heavy. Your arms will feel the work out if you are using them for any length of time.It’s a real heavy duty tool and it comes with a lifetime warranty which gives me some comfort as it was not inexpensive, but reasonable considering the quality of the construction.The only thing I found as a negative is that you have to open the handles a lot to maximize the opening of the throat of the cutter. This is not easy when you are cutting anything above waist level and difficult when you are trying to cut something overhead. Again, it works great, but you need to be in shape to use this, particularly your arms and upper body. It does have a great reach at 32″ and it looks like it could out live me…

I love these! I am a ballerina, but I can trim such large branches, it’s been awesome! I can independently manage my yard with these and so I bought a pair for my mother since my father passed away recently and now she’s tending her property independently too.

EXCELLENT CUTS. CUT THICK 2″ BRANCHES LIKE A CHARM. HAS A VERY THICK AND WIDE MOUTH FOR CUTTING. THE CUTTER DOES NOT HAVE TO FIGHT WITH THE TOOL TO GET THE BRANCH IN ITS MOUTH FOR CUITTING. ONCE IN THE CUTTING MOUTH AREA , IS SLICES THROUGH EASILY. FISKAR MAINTAINS ITS YEARS OF PRODUCING A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT

I bought the 32″ version to replace a set of rather cheap loppers with extending handles. This device is wonderful! It is a bit heavier, but needs far less effort to use than our old loppers, and easily cuts anything I have been able to fit into its jaws, including stems well over 1″ in diameter. I am very impressed – and just wish I had bought it years ago!
