Solid construction and durable
This is a great quality item. My husband and I were hoping to save on the cost of a property survey, so we purchased the Bounty Hunter Junior metal detector, and this measuring wheel, and were able to accomplish our goal of finding the property pins. This measuring wheel was not the least expensive model available, but we didn’t want ‘cheap – so we went for middle of the road, and I have to say – for the price, it feels like a ‘Cadillac’, and we’re VERY happy with it. It’s durable and went over the uneven and ‘rocky’ ground with ease, it’s of good solid quality, feels great in your hand, and comes with a carrying bag. We’ve found it to be a very handy thing to have around the house and yard.

Single point of failure
I bought this about 5 years ago. I’ve used it many a dozen times. Probably less. Today when I was resetting the counter the spring broke and now it doesn’t work. At all. Just one little spring and the whole thing is toast

Makes Measuring Easy
This is a wonderful tool to have, as it is easy to use, and comes completely assembled, which I really like. I have a large yard, so measuring for my flower beds it was a lot easier to measure than other types of measuring tapes.

Quality.
This thing is great. I had a 4” wheel that was too small for normal use on gravel, long grass etc. This larger wheel is much better. The quality of this is great snaps together well, the gage resets properly. great buy.

This wheel is your answer!Wielding this thing gives you an immediate, possibly undeserved, sense of authority. Stride forth, click-clacking your way across driveways, lawns, and workshop floors! On smooth, cooperative surfaces, this baby purrs along, dutifully tallying up the distance like a tiny, wheeled accountant. It feels sturdy enough, the numbers are easy to read, and for those glorious moments, you feel like a professional surveyor mapping out new frontiers (even if it’s just the patio).So why only four stars? Because this wheel, while diligent, has its kryptonite: adversity. Introduce a rogue pebble larger than a pea, a patch of slightly defiant grass, or perhaps a crack in the pavement that dares to challenge its path, and the Zozen can get… flustered. It might skip a beat, hiccup its count, or require a gentle lift ‘n’ reset, like it’s personally offended by the terrain’s lack of consideration. Furthermore, the kickstand seems to view its job as more of a suggestion than a firm commitment. It works, but treat it gently, lest it dramatically give up on life.Overall, a solid 4 stars. It makes measuring long stretches way easier and faster than the alternative, and adds a dash of ‘official business’ to your stride. Just be prepared to act as its terrain-clearing bodyguard occasionally, and maybe don’t trust the kickstand with anything vital. Good tool, minor diva tendencies.
