Great tablet & worth the price
I have a 2020 Galaxy S6 Lite that’s been my “go-to” for watching movies & boxing. Unfortunately, it’s been very sluggish lately & this Xiaomi tablet is replacing it. My first impressions are very good! The Redmi Pad 2 is twice as fast, probably due to the RAM being doubled & a better Android system too. It has 8GB of RAM & 256GB of storage, plus an SD slot to add more. The S6 Lite came with a pen, a nice addition to it. You have to buy a pen to use with the Xiaomi tablet, but don’t buy an expensive one! The extra features on the Xiaomi Redmi pen don’t work with this tablet, a tactile pen will suffice. Or, use your fingers 😁 This tablet is very good for the money & is easy to use if you’re used to an Android tablet.

It’s a banger.
I’m honestly pretty shocked how much I like this tablet. I have never really been a “mobile gaming” guy, preferring using laptops and things like the Nintendo Switch for my “away from my desktop PC gaming”. However after going fulltime back in the office I wanted something to poke around with in my down time at lunch, but obviously didn’t look like a game machine. You can take this review with a grain of salt since I’m admittedly not a tablet guy, and don’t have experience with high end tablets, but for being a “budget” offering this feels premium me. I got one of those little pens for accurate poking and it feels great. Very responsive and quick. Metal back. Maybe the 800 dollar tablets have something magic I don’t know about, but this 225 dollar tablet has everything I need go’n on. Zippy performance, quality look/feel, and runs any game I’ve thrown at it, including the 3D mmo Albion Online. Again to reiterate, I didn’t think I’d like this all that much. I figured it would run stuff kinda slow, and be more like a compromise between fun and mobility. Not the case. It’s a banger. All killer no filler.

Great value tablet with some performance issues
I can’t say I’m too surprised for the price, but the device has quite a bit of input lag and performance issues, especially when you first turn it on.The screen is great – bright and clear at a higher resolution than you’ll get anywhere else at this price point.

Confesso que já ha alguns anos, sou ‘fanboy’ da Xiaomi em vários aspectos. Desde meu primeiro Redme 3 Pro em 2015, nunca mais comprei outra marca até chegar ao meu Poco F5 Pro atual, sempre extremamente satisfeito com os produtos. Mas, o tablet, confesso que superou minhas expectativas. A tela tem ótimo contraste, cores vivas, um tamanho ideal para se usar até como um micro pc, caso opte por um teclado e mouse bluetooth. O tempo de acesso ao sistema e as respostas ao comando são muito rápidas, a interface é ótima e muito intuitiva, o que transforma o uso numa experiência muito agradável. Comprei para minha esposa que usa o tablet (entre outras coisas) para visualizar imagens de referência para fazer seus desenhos de pintura e ela ficou super feliz. O som é ótimo também, com qualidade muito boa e um volume máximo bem interessante. Pelo preço, foi um verdadeiro achado! Quem precisar um tablet com uma relação custo/benefício bem equilibrada, esse é seu candidato. Apenas uma coisa que me desagradou, mas foi super simples resolver com uma consulta no Google, é a configuração do Botão Power que ao ser usado para desligar o tablet, chama o Gemini na sua configuração de fábrica, mas como disse…uma consulta e um ajuste resolveu tudo em segundos. Recomendo !
