BUY THIS if you travel a lot, particularly AirBnB
This is a must when traveling overseas and/or staying in Airbnb. When you arrive at your destination, check into the Airbnb, nobody remembers to bring a carbon monoxide detector. That may be the biggest mistake you ever make.To avoid this, carry this slim little unit with a 10 yr battery whenever you travel. The only negative on this one is that the test button on the right side is big and when packing into your backpack or carry on, I’ve had the test button activate and shoot out an ear-piercing alert. It does not come with a hard covered travel case.Regardless, it’s small, portable and worth the investment.4–5 stars,Vines contributor

Trash. Bought this only two years ago. It started sending faulty signals, waking up everyone in the house. Fire department checked for CO, found none, and determined this specifically needed to be replaced. I would not purchase again nor recommend due to lifespan.

30 minutes to install 3 detectors – fantastic
I had existing smoke detectors but we decided we should add the CO detection near the gas stove and in the main bedrooms. The install required opening the breaker that provides power to the detectors. Once that was done, a screw driver and a step ladder was all I needed. The detectors I was replacing were similar design but made by another manufacturer. I had hoped that the plugs would be compatible, but they weren’t. There were two screws that had to be removed to replace the detector base. Once they were removed it was easy to get access to the wiring. In my system the detector “plug” was connected with wire nuts. I untwisted the nut for one wire and connected the wire that matched the color of the wire in the detector electrical box. I repeated that approach the remaining two wires. I pushed the excess wires up into the box above the ceiling. Stuck the plug through the hole in the base plate making sure that it was oriented correctly so that the detector would easily twist on as designed (There was a 50/50 chance to put the base plate on upside down.). I installed the two screws making them just tight enough to keep the base plate flush with ceiling. Installed the battery. Mounted the detector easily by twisting it onto the base plate. Once I restored the power to the installed detectors, I pushed the test button and verified that all of the detectors sounded whenever any one of the test buttons was pressed. – You can do this, but be sure to open the fire dedector breaker before starting, a 120 vac shock is, well …very shocking.
