Power house drill.
As most of you that know or used this mag drill, it is a beast. Recently getting into metal working and fabrication, it is a must. Works well and takes anything you can throw at it. Use safely and use some type of cutting oil on the cutters, you own that metal you’re drilling. Be safe, enjoy and get your job done. Well done Vevor.

Medium duty magnet
First off, it’s a single speed. Cutting oil will not run thru the the 1/4″ tubing from the mounted tank. Simple fix, remove tank, bring out pump gun with oil. My first project was cutting 3/4″ holes in the tips of my lift forks. The annular cutter makes long streamers of metal and I had to shut down halfway thru to clear the head. Perfect job and the magnet held on well. Today I’m drilling weld holes in a 16 ga. panel using a 5/16′ twist drill in it and it’s very different. It doesn’t start cutting as fast and I have to place down pressure over the top of the motor because the magnet won’t hold it. Otherwise I’m happy with it and would recommend buying it.

I’ve been a fabricator for 43 years. Recently semi retired and have been busier than ever. I have a fab shop and work by myself and drilling has become a pain, literally. I have arthritis in both my wrist and when a bit gets hung up, i pay the price. Got a stair stringer job which required a bunch of holes to be drilled so I read the reviews and decided to take the plunge. I just got finished drilling 92 12mm holes in 1 hour. Ive owned hougen mag drills in the past and, let me tell you, thos little drill works great right out of the box. I like the coolant tank on the side. Delivers coolant thru the middle of the bit. The magnet is strong. Set the drill up on a 1 1/2″ wide flange. Cutter are good too. My advice is use the coolant, dont rush the machine and baby your cutters. I see nothing wrong with this machine at all. Awesome price for everything you get.

Nearly identical to the Unibor. Own a mag drill plus a set of cutters for the price of 3 days rental. Cutters are nicely ground HSS, but keep in mind they are metric. 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27mm. Fine for bolt holes with some clearance, unless they are spec’d to an imperial size. Cutting fluid tank delivered just enough thread cutting oil to adequately lube the cut while not making a huge mess. Spring held down the center stopping oil flow when not cutting. Some cut plugs didn’t auto eject, but can happen with any mag drill. My existing Hougen cutters fit it perfectly. I’d give it 10 stars for value, but Amazon will only let me give it 5.

If the one pilot included breaks, it’s a paperweight
Shockingly nice HSS cutters included but works with a queer size pilot that cannot be found after several additional Amazon orders. It’s a custom 6.34x77mm pilot that’s magically $50 alone anywhere you look.If you’re buying for a one time project, just get the drill and buy the cutters and pilots from a known good source so you can buy parts, otherwise you’ll end up with 45lbs of useless crap in the barn.Once you bust the included $2 pilot after drilling 20-30 holes, you’ll quickly find out the drill is useless. The drill doesn’t have enough vertical range or clearance for larger bits in the drill chuck provided and the normal taller pilots will not work either. The oiling reservoir and attachment is a F’n joke. Don’t even bother with it, just keep some lube nearby to keep the drill cool.It’s no surprise they used a custom short pilot due to the piss poor depth/height range.Ultimately, I would not buy it again. Make sure you strap it down, the magnets won’t hold it as you gently feed it, even on 1/2” steel plate. Almost took my foot off, can’t be trusted.Ended up finishing the job with a trusty Milwaukee. Save your money, time and frustration- don’t buy Vevor.

Light weight work horse
This is a great little unit. Light weight about 25 lbs. I drill over 400 7/8 holes in 7/8 steel.The chuck does not slip with anular bits.It is only one speed, which works well. But if you need variable speed you need to buy the next model up.The magnet grip works well. Need to brush it off and keep it clean.This unit takes a 15 amp glass cylinder fuse. Around 300 holes the fuse wore out. It’s easy to replace, only 4 little screw behind the on/off switch. Would recommend to have a few on hand.

Acheté il y a quelques semaines j’ai voulu attendre avant de faire un commentaire pour être le plus objectif possible.Donc après plusieurs heures d’utilisation je peut dire que c’est une super machine, fait le job sans broncher les mèches qui sont fournis sont de très bonne qualité . Agréable à l’utilisation pas besoin de forcer pour percer l’aimant tient très bien ,franchement rien à redire.Juste un petit inconvénient la machine n’a pas de retenu pour la descente et donc il faut la tenir quand on la manipule ,un bloquer position haute serait judicieux c’est le seul défaut que je peut lui trouver pour l’instant reste à voir dans la durée .Je la recommande sans problème .

Je l’ai juste testé sur de la tole de 5mm avec une fraise de 32 et ça passe nickel.Je n’ai pas testé la lubrification pour l’instant.Il manque à mon avis un variateur de vitesse pour percer de la forte épaisseur.
