Special Reminder:
1. The pH function of this soil tester can not be applied to test pH value of any other liquid.
2. Since soil most often is in/close to neutral state (with pH value of 7), it is highly likely that you find the needle in display window stay still (because the default pH value is set at somewhere between 7 and 8) when you use it to test the pH value of soil. Customers sometimes are misled by this appearance and hence regard the tester as a defective unit by mistake.
How to Use:
Step 1: Switch to moisture/pH/light position according to demand.
Step 2: Insert the probe into the soil about 6-7 inches.
Step 3: Check moisture/pH/light level in the dial after 10 minutes.
Step 4: Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.
Kindly Note:
1. Do not force it into very hard soil or touch hard objects since it will be easy to damage the probe.
2. Do not use it to test pure water or other liquids. It can only be used to measure soil.
3. Do not leave the meter in the soil for a long time.
4. Please wipe and clean the probe after each use.
5. If the soil is too dry the indicator will not move, and water it before testing.

Information, you need to have on your house plants with one device
This device has three great helpful features one soil moisture two amount of light to plant three pH soil. This device does it all easily quickly and less expensive.

PH Testing does not work
The PH Level tester portion of this meter does not work. I bought a specially formulated acidic soil for my berries and it registered as alkaline not acidic, but then all of my other soil – I have 3 diff. types, one for cacti, one for veges and then one for my fruits and berries which is an acidic soil. All of them tested the same on the meter as alkaline, the needle did not even move. it’s basically useless to measure PH.

And absolute waste of my time
I’m very unhappy with this product. They claim that if anything is wrong with the product they will do whatever it takes to have a satisfactory outcome. They claim that in transit it often can set the calibration to not work correctly. This is the case I guess for mine. It was completely useless in that I would stick it in the soil, and it would not move in any direction. The light stayed the same the water stayed the same and the pH levels date the same. When I tried to contact them to tell them, to see if we could have a new one shipped, as they claim themselves, nobody got back to me. After 2 weeks of waiting for a response, I decided to return it through Amazon at ups. The reason why, was because Amazon was asking me how my return went, and the longer the time will go, I could have ran out of time to be able to return it within the window time frame. So I ended up returning it, and getting no solution, and getting no response even. So as far as the customer service, they are not what they claim. As far as the products I don’t know if it got destroyed in transit, I just know that it did not work. So all in all, I will go with a different meter. Half of my plants are large potted plants, the other half are smaller. It says for best results to stick the probes six to seven inches into the soil for an accurate reading. For all of my smaller potted plants, this would not be possible as the depth of the pot is not even six to seven inches. If it’s that easy for the product to get destroyed just by having it shipped and not work when you get it, then I would be more inclined to buy a meter that will come protected and bubble wrap and ensure that it will come to me in working condition. This one just came in a thin little box with no padded protection. That might be the reason why it gets destroyed in transit, as they claim. Definitely far from happy, I have been waiting for a soil meter for so long, and then I went with this one that had such good reviews only to find out that the reviews were completely incorrect.

Necesitaba un medidor de pH para las plantas, ya que tengo que controlarles el pH de la tierra y éste me ha ido genial.Es muy sencillo de manejar, tiene dos agujas que metes en la tierra de forma suave, sin hacer fuerza y luego tiene una pantalla con una aguja que te indica cómo está la tierra y qué está midiendo, escoges lo que quieres que te mida y ya está. También te vale para saber si el suelo está seco o mojado o si hay humedad o no.Todo viene en inglés pero para mí no es problema.

Good product at this price.Don’t use same day after watering. Better when top/surface is dry and you want to measure the situation half way through.Calibration is good.
