    Fantastic product!
Cinnamomom cassia (AKA Chinese Cinnamon & Cinnamomom aromaticaum) or what we call Cassia cinnamon is fantastic! I have a number of NOW EO’s and this one is top quality like the rest. It smells sweet & slightly spicy but not too harsh to where you’re overwhelmed (like some of those scented wax melts or candles!) Yes, this is not “true” cinnamon. This is from a completely different plant actually but 90% of the cinnamon sold in stores in the US is Cassia cinnamon. Rarely labeled with the botanical name it is hard to know which we are getting. Most of us would have never known there were any other kind! “True” Cinnamon, as it is nicknamed is Ceylon Cinnamon and has 2 varieties: bark (quite a bit more expensive) and leaf. However, all 3 plants do have similar qualities and is considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs in TCM. 1st I must warn you this oil is strong so start low when using & work your way up if needed. It can be overwhelming if you use too much! That said, this oil is great for making DIY cleaning products, the scent helps bring peace/serenity to a racing mind & help with emotional concerns. It is great for helping with nausea (put a few drops on a tissue & inhale slowly), for cold/flu add a few drops to your diffuser. It is a “hot/warm” EO (like ginger, pepper) & if applied topically (WITH a carrier oil, a must for this EO particularly) will help ease pain in the joints, like arthritis, gout, I use it for fibro, neuropathy, Reynaud’s (cold fingers/toes) & back pain- but any pain that you’d typically put a heating pad on for example. (NEVER on broken skin, pets or children! This is esp important with all cinn. oils.) It smells great with citrus oils & other spicy/warm oils. A must have for any EO lover!(PIC source: doterra)

    A nice scent
I make and sell candles and bought this for a new scent I was working on. I was nervous that the cinnamon cassia wouldn’t be strong enough though, so I also purchased cinnamon bark oil from Now essential oils. After testing a few times I decided to go with the cinnamon cassia. The cinnamon bark is definitely stronger, which is usually a good thing in candle making, but it is actually a little TOO strong for my taste – it overwhelms the other scents and is pretty overpowering in a small room. The cinnamon cassia is a little on the sweeter side and blends well with other smells. I don’t understand the reviews that say it doesn’t smell nice – it honestly smells like a sweet cinnamon, but still with that underlying spice that cinnamon is known for. I’d definitely recommend.

    Pretty good oil in general
First I’m going to highlight the negatives. Bottle arrived leaking. Smelled more bitter/spicy than regular cinnamon oil. And easy to stain fabric( it’s very yellow) but it does smell really warming like the bottle advertises and smells pretty good overall awesome I like the now brand in general but I would recommend spending the dollars on the cinnamon bark oil

    Yuck
Stinky. Didn’t smell like cinnamon at all. I like several of the now brand oils. Their orange and lemon are amazing, but this one physically made me gag. It went straight in the garbage.
