3.5 years later, heavy use and still excellent!
I’ve had this for over 3 years now. It makes the best coffee. That’s subjective of course but I’ve tried really expensive coffee makers and this has out performed them all. Let me break that down. You can adjust the temp and if you select hot, let it sit for a minute or two before pouring. It is the “correct” temperature for coffee. You can adjust strength using the Bold button. For even stronger coffee, hit the 1-4 Cups button and the Bold button. You can do that for a full pot. 14 cups is a generous amount by the way! Measure your coffee to taste. 1 Tbs per cup is average but by all means adjust it to your preference. This maker is a workhorse. It’s very durable and easy to clean. The water flow is great and covers the grounds better than many high end models. If you see dried grounds after your maker has brewed coffee it’s not doing a good job. It’s worth the price because it lasts and lasts. I had the same one previously and only replaced it because I ruined it. That’s when I experimented with other brands. I was so glad they had this same model available when I came back looking.

This is our Cuisinart to replace another Cuisinart that lasted more than 15 years!
We just purchased this Cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker to replace a Cuisinart that gave up after more than 15 years. Not the cheapest coffee maker out there, but if this one lasts as long as our previous one, it will be a bargain. The quality of the coffee brewed is excellent. I would recommend (through experience) that you follow the schedule and regularly change out the charcoal filter. For the longest time I never realized it was there, and when I changed it out, the coffee indeed tasted better (at least in my opinion). Big top and clear glass, making it easy to clean and at 14 cups capacity, coffee for many! I took a picture of it getting a cycle of water through to clean it before we used it.

What Cuisinart doesn’t tell you about this coffee maker
The main reason for the 4 stars is the carafe, which is not user friendly. You must use 2 hands to remove the lid. The coffee stream’s angle relative to the carafe changes as you pour. You have to aim for the center of the coffee cup, especially when the carafe is nearly empty. And even then some coffee might dribble down the side of the cup. Life is too short to live with this carafe. I replaced it with an aftermarket carafe I found at Amazon which corrects these problems. I’m keeping the Cuisinart carafe for backup.My brew water is already filtered in a ZeroWater pitcher. This makes the Cuisinart’s charcoal filter redundant. The DCC-3200 works fine without the filter or the filter holder. Coffee tastes a little better without the charcoal filter.The coffee maker is easy to operate manually. I haven’t tried the programmable features.The quality of the coffee it makes is so-so until you learn some things that aren’t documented by Cuisinart in the Instruction Booklet. It should not be necessary to read user reviews to learn everything this coffee maker can do. The trick to getting good coffee flavor from the DCC-3200 is to slow down the brew speed. The DCC-3200 has 4 brew speeds, as follows:Speed 1: Just press the Brew button. It brews about 1 cup per minute. The coffee is weak but drinkable if you’re in a hurry.Speed 2: Press the Bold button and then the Brew button. This setting brews a cup in every 75 seconds. The taste is better than the Speed 1 taste, but still a bit weak.Speed 3: Press the 1-4 Cup button and then the Brew button. This setting brews a cup in every 85 seconds. The taste is better still, richer than that of Speed 2. The coffee maker does not know or care how many cups of water you are brewing when you select the 1-4 Cup button. It just slows the brew speed to extract more flavor from the grounds.Speed 4: Press both the Bold button and the 1-4 Cup button, then press the Brew button. This setting brews a cup in every 100 seconds. The taste is better than that of Speed 3. Speed 4 is slow, but the quality of the brew is well worth the wait.I like the 3 year warranty which suggests that this coffee maker will last a lot longer than the n_nj_ coffee maker it replaced. It is really hard to find a large capacity coffee maker with an acceptable combination of ease of use, flavor and expected durability. The DCC-3200 would be a 5 star coffee maker if it had a user friendly carafe.I like the look of this coffee maker. I like the size, which is compact considering its brew capacity. I would like it more if the water reservoir gauge was on the left side or, better still, on both sides.

Great temp options, good carafe
This is a solid coffee maker that get the coffee HOT. Your existing coffee maker might be working but if the heating pad is rusted or is looking otherwise tired, I’d recommend this as a replacement. The taste of the coffee is great regardless of the temp you select for the heating pad, but having the option is great.I read a few reviews about awkward fill angle but I’ve found that to be the case with the majority of coffee makers. My existing carafe had a hinge for the lid but this one snaps on/off; I’ve found the experience different, not better or worse.I’ve tried the strong, 1-4 cup options, and auto-timer and everything’s working per my expectations. I haven’t tried the Clean function because I have pretty soft water – again, nice to have that option.Finally, there’s one little detail that’s more of a “training issue”: be sure to click in the filter cone because it’s not fully seated until then and the lid only sometimes seems to close it.

Still a great coffee maker.
We had had a cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker for about 10 years and it finally gave out on us. We purchased an off brand coffee maker from Costco and it was a disaster so we returned it and purchased another cuisinart from Amazon. It worked great from the first pot brewed. Nice thing also is we were able to use the same stainless coffee filter fromOur old model and also the pot will work with the new one. So we have back-up parts if we need them. For us this coffee maker is the perfect item. I recommend buying it.

This is a US coffee maker, fitted with a US electrical outlet plug. Unfortunately this makes it fairly useless to a UK customer like me. Even after securing a step-down converter it won’t start brewing. Nothing in the original ad, including the small print and technical details, suggests this is not a UK coffee maker. Basically all told £150 wasted due to the seller and Amazon being clueless about where they are selling electrical items.

Review update March 26 2020:As previously stated this coffee maker is a solid unit. Not a single complaint. Easy to operate, fill, poor….highly recommend!!Review update:Very happy with coffee maker. Not a single complaint. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews.Have only used a few times since being delivered a few days ago but have to say I’m very happy with the DCC-3200 in black stainless to match our kitchen. The front face is stainless with plastic stainless looking sides. Still a sharp looking machine thankfully bc it lives on the counter. Display is a crisp blue with a blue ring of light around the buttons when pressed. Low, medium or high setting for carafe. Only tried Medium so far which was still quite hot. Note-the carafe pours perfectly. I’m not sure why so many others have all these spilling issues while filling tank or cup. Not a single drop spilled period. Easy to fill large water tank. Again not difficult at all to fill considering all the other reviews that state it is. Using the supplied charcoal filter with metal basket. Very happy with unit so far. Will update review in time.

Product is 120 volts with American plug, not 240 as advertised. Confirmed directly with manufacturer. Usage in Europe will also void warranty. Will be returning.
