After a few months, I’m still glad I bought this one.
I’m not a “techie” person, so I needed something simple to install, yet that would provide a clear and professional image to my clients when I do virtual meetings. I was replacing a camera that had stopped being reliable (sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t), and I was dreading having to do through a setup or install process with a new one.Fortunately, the install process was a piece of cake! In fact, the install was MUCH simpler than tinkering around trying to get my old camera to work! What a relief!I’ve had it for a few months now, and it was a good choice for me. It was SO worth a little extra money to get this camera in terms of quality and ease of use.One small detail I really like is that the lens cover for privacy is INSIDE the camera. That is a nice design touch. It’s orange, so you can easily tell whether the lens cover is on or off, but it doesn’t attract and hold dust the way the little ridges on an external privacy cap does. At first, I thought the lens cover looked “thin” and I was waiting for the day when it would jam and ruin the image from the camera. That hasn’t happened — however, I might recommend that anyone with small children keep the camera and the kids away from one another. I can see a kid really enjoying making the orange appear and disappear with the slider — until it breaks. The lens cover should be fine with adult use, but it’s not a toy for children. The picture is clean and crisp. So far (knock on wood) the camera has been reliable and there have been no headaches. I’ve used it with Teams and Zoom without issues. I can recommend this one without hesitation.

Wonderful Quality Video & Audio
I’m a retired broadcast engineer who has finally updated my very old Logitech standard def personal webcam. After doing several hours of research over two days I decided on the Anker PowerConf C200. From the very first try I knew my choice was a very good one indeed. The default colorimetry is perfect. Camera sensitivity is freaking amazing. Certainly you can balance the C200 on the top of your monitor; but I mounted this very small camera on the inexpensive quality Neewer TP09 tripod that is setup just below my LG 27GP850 display exactly 8 inches above the desktop about two feet from my face. Operate in a dimly lit environment and get automatically well focused properly exposed natural looking color balanced video. The configuration software is practical and easy to use. The C200’s field of view is adjustable to three positions. The audio is also great. Wow, fifty bucks gets the buyer wonderful video and audio. Five stars.

Great quality – high recommended
Quality is fantastic and anker works software allows for a lot of control over the image quality (I’m on a Mac). It doesn’t support hdr so bright windows look blown out, but it has really good overall image quality. The field of view control is nice and helps limit the amount of background in view. I really like the physical shutter for privacy and compact size. The only downside is I have a wide bezel on my Alienware monitor and it didn’t fit well around it. There is a tripod adaptor screw on the bottom and I was able to use an old webcam mount to get a perfect fit.

Great camera, worth the price (but better when it’s on sale).
I like Anker, I have several products from them and they always deliver. This camera is replacing my older Logitech C920. This camera provides excellent image quality, I’m not sure I can tell the difference between 1080 and 2k myself, but either way it looks great even if I don’t. My Logitech only did 1080, so this is a little bit of an upgrade. You can stick it to a tripod, that’s cool. You can rest it on the top of your monitor and adjust it with ease, that’s cool too. All those things were features my previous camera had as well. The privacy shudder is nice. A lot of people list that as a big selling point. My Logitech camera had a little clip on piece that folded over the lens. The shudder on this one is built in and it looks cool when you open and close it, but it’s not particularly innovative. I usually have a dedicated microphone though so I haven’t used the camera mic extensively. From the few tests I’ve ran with it, it seems to do pretty well. I wouldn’t stop using my dedicated Samson Q2u in favor of the camera mic, but for meetings and conference calls it’s nice. It’s not super feature rich, but if you download the Anker software you can adjust the frame, resolution, and zoom level, among other things. Works well with discord, I imagine it works well with Zoom or Skype, or whatever else. It also does okay in less than optimal lighting. I usually see it listed at $60 and it’s worth the price. Sometimes it dips into a sale price closer to $50 which makes it a no brainer.

amazing quality and usable AS-IS! (plug n play)
i needed a cheap webcam just for casual hang-outs in discord with friends. I looked through so many reviews (both on amazon and youtube) to get a gist of what to expect from the device. After looking through so many reviews, i was under the impression that one NEEDED to adjust the settings with the anker software to get decent use out of it. But that is not the case!Although the software IS useful for taking control of certain settings, I only ended up adjusting 2 settings. I lessened the viewing angle to 78 degrees, and i raised the saturation by 2 points. That is IT. Very minor adjustments. The camera works really well right out of the box!Don’t get me wrong, I would still recommend everyone get the software. It took just a few seconds to install, and there’s a lot of video, image, and sound settings to adjust to give the user full control of how they want the video to look. (There are resolution settings, anti-flicker settings, brightness, sharpness, contrast, focus settings, etc.)btw, my desk has a shelf above the monitor area, so i don’t actually have any space to attach a webcam on top of the monitor. I ended up placing the webcam on top of the shelf, angled downwards a bit, and that worked just fine!I’m happy with it!

I having using it for a year now. This really a nice webcam. The focus is really good. It does pretty much all the function that a midrange webcam supposed to do. Good value for money.

This is an update to my initial 1 star review, straight to 5 stars …Go for it you will not regret it!Image quality is perfect regardless of lighting conditions, white balance is spot on, fast focus and really good mic pickup !Nice design, really love the red privacy shutter and how it’s implemented.Detachable USB C cable.Really cannot ask for more at this price point. If you are working from home this is the camera to get.If you need to present some content or need to share an in person small boardroom meeting the wide aperture (95 degree) is more then accommodating. If you really need manual control it has everything : Focus, WB, Brightness, Sharpness, Saturation and Contrast. On top of that you can adjust the angle – works as zoom (neat feature), flicker compensation, and resolution – all this form a software that does not require an account.Initially the camera had huge white balance issues I really could not use the camera in my setup, after a few iterations and software updates they completely fixed it!Anker team kept me up to date with every release, they understood the issue and FIXED IT – really amazing and rare these days, they truly stand behind their products !
