Working great so far
This inexpensive little Echo Spot is actually working better than our more expensive “main unit”, an Echo View 5. It responds faster, is more dependable, and simply functions the way they both should, despite being considerably farther away from the WiFi router and cheaper.It also “hears” better – on a number of occasions, until we changed it’s name from Alexa to differentiate the two, when I’d speak to the Echo View 5 from just a few feet away, the Spot would respond first from a separate room, 25 feet away in the master bedroom. Also, the speakers sound pretty darn good for such a tiny thing!Pretty seamless and trouble-free after about a month, and the clock numbers are big and easy to read too. Attractive, simple, functional, and trouble-free so far. We like and recommend it!

Welcome to 2025!!
Now this is what I expect for technology to be in 2025!! It was incredibly easy to setup and it is so fun and easy to use with voice commands. Alexa is super responsive and is literally like having a conversation with a friend. You don’t have to think about how to phrase what you want to ask of her, you just talk like you would normally talk to anyone else and she understands and even offers extra help. The quality is outstanding, and songs sound so good when playing music. I don’t know how I got by without my echo but I sure don’t ever want to be with it, and Alexa, ever again!

Almost perfect
I’ve been using this as alarm clock for a week now and I love it! I even got to set up a whole lot of it before I got it because of the app. I still had to set up a few things like alarms, brightness, and loudness when I actually got it. But they made that part super easy too! I got it plugged it in and it worked instantly. The amount of detail that they put into this was probably way too much because I’ve tried multiple other alarm clocks but this one hit the sweet spot for me. It’s not horrible and the quality is really good.I put it in my bedroom and I have other people in my room that don’t want to wake up at the time that I do. So I just didn’t set up the schedule stuff that plays after you turn off your alarm. I use it to play music every once in a while and it plays super well.Now if anyone wanted to know why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the background that I have set is green so I can see it across my room just too check the time really quick. But it randomly turns a pinkish orangish looking color and it’s hard to see. I thought that it was just a notification so I asked it “Alexa, what is my notification” but it just says oh it doesn’t look like you have any notifications and then turns back to the color that I set originally which was green. Now I’m thinking that it is inactivity but I can’t find that either. If anyone can help me find this setting that would be great.Anyways, sorry about the tangent but if your looking for an alarm clock then you should get this one.

Perfect for bedroom
Was seeking an alexa item that wasn’t as big as the echo show but was bigger than the dot for the bedroom. It is the perfect size! We have it on our night stand. It is easy to set up and use. You can tap the top of it to turn off set alarms. It is not bright in our face when we wake up. Looks super cute! I enjoy that there is a screen for the album artwork while it plays. The time is in red during the night when we are sleeping. The sound is great quality also which is important to me during my morning dance parties with my boys.

I absolutely love my Echo Dot!** I have one in every room of my house, but during a recent home makeover, they were packed away for nearly a year—and I truly missed them. When I saw a sale, I had to grab another one to tide me over until I get the rest set back up.These devices are amazing, especially for keeping my grocery list up to date. As I move around the house and think of something I need, I just call out to Alexa, and she adds it to my list. When I get to the store, everything I need is right there—no more forgetting things!I also use the timer feature constantly when I’m cooking. Unlike traditional timers that beep a few times and stop, Alexa keeps alerting me until I acknowledge it. It’s such a helpful touch, especially when I’m multitasking. Truly one of the most useful smart devices I own! She is pretty much plug and play. So easy to set her up. She does take a few seconds to respond, and I wasn’t remembering her to always take a moment like this one does but they all are probably the same and I’ve just forgotten since I’ve had to go without for so long now. It’s was quite a great bargain on the Prime Day sales. I also was able to get the Amazon Prime Music for 3 months for free so it’s great having no restrictions on my listening pleasure. It’s fun to just chat back and forth with her sometimes to see what cleaver things she comes up with. I always think the funniest was when I asked her one time to tell me a dirty joke and she does, tells me a joke about dirt. lolololol

I have only had it for a day, but overall, it seems to work well. It has good quality sound & bass like the Echo Dot (5th generation), motion detection for smart lights, and lots of options for clock display/colour under settings, which can include time, month/date, outside temperature, and sun or clouds display, Clock also includes an on/of timer for clock display light should you want to turn light off while sleeping. It was very easy to set up. The light display on the clock is weak compared to the Echo Dot (generation 4) with a clock, and I had to turn it up to 100% to get the intensity to a reasonable viewing amount. When it is playing music, the clock shows the song name and artist, which is nice.
