    It will last 5 years
At the 5 year mark, it started acting flaky. At the 62 month mark it started randomly dying, taking down the computer and everything else plugged into the battery + surge protector side. That got annoying, so I needed to replace it – should have just replaced the battery, but I forgot in the intervening time that it was replaceable.Given the price I paid initially, I thought this was an excellent value.

    Solid Performance and Excellent Value
This UPS has performed better than expected for the price. I’m using it to power two micro PCs, a switch, a router, a Blink sync module, and a water leak monitoring hub. One of the micro PCs also monitors the UPS status and remaining battery time, and so far the readings have been consistent and reliable.Battery life seems solid, and while this unit is rated for 450W, it’s important to actually stay under that, it will cut out if you overload it, which is by design. That said, it handles my current setup without any issues.Physically, it’s larger, and heavier, than I anticipated for a 450W unit, but the size does come with a nice layout. The outlets are well spaced and labeled clearly between surge-only and battery backup. Having 12 outlets total is more than enough for most home setups, especially for systems like mine.Build quality feels comparable to my two CyberPower UPS units, and I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference in day-to-day use. For anyone who understands what wattage their gear pulls and is looking for reliable standby protection, this is a great value.

    Most affordable UPS
You can permanently turn off the beeping when the battery backup kicks in. It should come with instructions on how to do it. These has lasted a lot longer than my other name brand UPS. These are also more affordable

False Advertising for the “AmazonBasics, $75,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee” – What a Joke
We installed a WiFi network at my place of business and were looking for multiple UPS’s for each of our switches and WiFi Access Points. When looking for what device would work best I came across this Amazon Branded piece of equipment. The price was fair and I really like their, “Backed by an AmazonBasics limited 1-year warranty, including the battery; $75,000 connected equipment guarantee” – the last bullet in the description. This warranty is a joke. We had a power surge in our building and most of the UPS’s worked as intended, however there was 1 that did not. All the equipment connected to it was fried after the surge and no longer works. Over $900.00 of equipment was destroyed (all of which was ordered from Amazon). I just wanted a credit I could, gift card, something! I had serial numbers and images of the equipment and everything. I immediately contacted customer support and told them that I wanted to submit an issue/claim under the “Backed by an AmazonBasics limited 1-year warranty, including the battery; $75,000 connected equipment guarantee.”I had to continue to reach back out to Amazon Customer Support 3+ times, each time they told me someone would follow up with me within the next 3-5 business days on my warranty claim. I spent a total of 4-5 hours (spread out over multiple days) of my time emailing, chatting over the phone, sending pictures, chatting online and still nothing has happened. I have continually been ignored and have been given false promises of, “I will PERSONALLY call you back on (x) date to follow up with you on this issue.” Then, after no phone call or follow-up, I would email them back, only to have a different person respond and tell me to call Amazon Customer Support (which means I would start from scratch and have to tell my story all over again and go through the same steps). The continuous false promises and disregard (whether intentional or not) is beyond frustrating – especially when you buy the device because of the warranty that is promised.I am a regular user of Amazon services, but I’m very disappointed with the way this situation was handled and I feel that I have wasted my time and have been ignored multiple times. Not a product I would recommend buying.

Great for Surges and Short Outages
This battery backup works for short-term power outages and surge protection. The audible beeps can be annoying, so in my opinion, that leaves room for improvement. The footprint is small enough to be out of the way, but like most battery solutions, this thing is heavy for its size. The overall design is good, and it was easy to install. I like it.

  8. Current Review

I haven’t had it for long (less than a month), but so far it works great and is a very good price. No issues so far at all. I will update review if i do have issues. This is my third UPS but first from AmazonBasics. I normally buy the cyberpower one. This one is lacking the LCD screen that cyberpower has but i never use that anyway.

It seems like a solid unit. These are actually built by Cyberpower, which uses the Cyberpower Powerpanel program to connect to Windows. The courier Intelcom delivered this to the wrong house. Thankfully, amazon was able to send a 2nd one out and I didn’t have to fight with them or anything! It can be set up to turn off your pc automatically after a power outage, after it turns your pc off it will also shutdown the UPS about a minute after. Once power comes back on the UPS will automatically turn back on and if you have your PC setup accordingly in the BIOS your PC will also turn on automatically. One thing about this unit is if the battery of the UPS goes to 0% it will not turn back on automatically. But you shouldn’t be draining it to 0% anyway. However, on my UnRaid server, I could not get this functionality to work. I can get it to turn off the server but not shutdown the UPS; as a result, I would have to manually turn on the server. It recognizes the UPS; I tried built-in UPS functionality and NUTS for the server, but neither worked. It works perfect on Windows though. I get about 50 mins of runtime on my PC if idling or browsing the web.Id recommend this UPS as long as your not wanting it to shutdown and restart non-windows servers, for anything windows it works great.

Bought a couple of these to use at the camp, and a great job they do. We currently use them to provide power to LED lights when the generator is not running. We originally bought them to trial and are very impressed so far.We have used them without a recharge for up to 4 days for lighting up the living area and bedrooms. No issues so far. The wife gets mad when the generator runs out of gas and shuts down part way through a movie, this will power her laptop, 150w sound bar and a 40 inch led TV for a limited time. I plan on getting a couple more to power additional devises as I hate the sound of the generator running. These allow me to run the generator long enough to make ice, recharge them and then shut it down.We plan on taking them home in the future to use for the same purpose as at the camp during winter power outages.Definitely would recommend this product. – Be smart and buy bigger (more power by the hour) then your needs require. They are more practical for me then an out priced solar system.
