works as expected to @ a GREAT $$! Blew out a match underneath it & it went off as sound as I saw the smoke enter the grates. I also tried it under our vehicle’s exhaust. Same speedy reaction. Cheaper & easier than the 9 volt battery powered models.

So far so good. The only reason that I’m not giving it 5 stars is that there’s a bright flashing green LED that blinks like ever minute and a half. I had to put black tape over it because in the dark it was really annoying.

Defective device they went off when no gas leak occurred, fire department and gas company said device was defective and also when smoke in the house no beeping occurred. I’m looking to get Kiddi recommended by the fire department
