This is an excellent and well designed item. It is a bit pricey, but well worth your money.
I had a cheap fan from the great discount house and it lasted one year, as usual. It had a molded plastic blade housing which meant that on low speed it only circulated air for about four or five feel. So, I had been looking for a bladeless fan at a reasonable price. The Pelonis seems to fill the bill quite nicely. I have now a small bed room with poor circulation so I need to feel the air at ten feet or so and this allows just that at the lowest setting. It is quiet enough that I can’t hear it working except at the highest setting. I had wanted something like a Dyson at a more reasonable price and the Pelonis is not the same sort of thing. It works by channeling air up both vertical parts and then turning that air out in the direction in which you want it to flow. I personally recommend it to anyone looking for a fan.

    Does the Job Well
Overall, I like it. It is not as strong as the 16″ Lasko pedestal fan it replaced, but the volume of air moved seems higher. It’s not silent, but it IS vastly quieter. On max speed, the new one is about as strong the pedestal one on low (when the pedestal is clean). However, the total amount of air moved by the bladeless seems to be more, and the quality is different. Where bladed fans produce a vortex, the new one is just a solid stream that does not fluctuate at all. I don’t know if it’s truly laminar, but it’s definitely more consistent. Because it’s a solid stream, it does a better job at getting surrounding air moving together instead of interfering with itself. If it’s not rotating, the fan seems to set up a stable flow pattern in the room (at least in my 10×12 room) as the main flow hits the walls, floor, and ceiling and circles around. The result is a noticeable – if weaker – air flow outside the main stream from the fan. The end result is that it’s more than enough to cool the room as well as the old-fashioned fan, even though it feels weaker if you judge it directly out of the fan.The Dyson may be silent, but the Pelonis definitely is not. Low speed IS very, very quiet but you can still hear the impeller if you listen closely. High speed is loud enough to push itself into your notice, but still quieter than that 16″ Lasko on low. I need fan noise to sleep well, and the Pelonis on high is still quiet enough that it almost isn’t enough. The remote works well, and there is a magnetized dock on the fan to store it. It connects to WiFi to interface with Alexa/Google, but I have not set that up yet. The app lets you access more controls such as changing the length of the arc of rotation, and I should be able to schedule routines like automatically shutting it off during the day.The main downside is the size and weight. The impeller base is large and heavy, and the aperture is big. Overall, it’s quite tall and the height is not adjustable. I first set it up downstairs next to an older squirrel-cage tower that I keep on the hearth next to my chair. The Pelonis is about 18″ taller, has a larger footprint, and nearly touches the mantle above. It’s a big presence in the room. The size isn’t an issue in the bedroom, but it’s big enough that I am no longer considering replacing the fan beside my chair with one of these bladeless ones, I would enjoy the quieter operation, but it’s just too big.Overall, I like it quite a bit. At $120-140, I am happy with the utility vs cost in a way that I don’t think I would be with a $300+ Dyson. Now to see how it holds up over time, and find out how and how often to clean it.

    Best fan ever!
I’ve been looking for a bladeless tower fan for so long. Reading review after review on different ones. I stumbled across this fan and the reviews were pretty good, so I decided to try it. Needless to say I absolutely love it. It has multiple setting options that give users the versatility of super quiet or a little louder for those who like the noise, but regardless with all settings the wind power is amazing. You can feel it across the room. My favorite feature is it being able to connect to my phone with an app. Never have to worry about losing the remote again. On the subject of remotes, the box says it comes with one, but I didn’t see one in the box anywhere and even checked the fan to see if maybe it had a hidden compartment for it but didn’t see one. Either way you still get the remote option with your phone so it’s not a big deal for me. Very sturdy, weight is pretty good and not super heavy, and just all around functional. Definitely giving this 5 stars and highly recommend purchasing if you’re looking for a good bladeless fan. Definitely worth the money imo.

Edited review: Information that you may want to know
Update & FYI: I couldn’t figure out why the fan kept shutting off on its own after about 10 to 12 hours. I knew the timer was not set but this happened a few times. I reached out to Amazon and they did some product support for me and come to find out this fan will shut off after 10 to 15 hours if no commands have been entered. And apparently this is a feature to prevent the fan from overheating. I feel this information is important enough to put in the owners manual.Original Review: Set up was easy, and I added the app it says to add. I definitely love the air flow, and it is quieter than my tower fan that I had before. I also love that it’s bladeless, safety first. As long as this new fan keeps working, I will be very happy with the product.

GLITCHY! They turn themselves off at random times
I was thrilled with this fan and then bought a second one, but about a month in, first one fan–and then the other–have started to turn themselves off randomly. Some people (in buried reviews) seem to believe it has an auto shut-off feature, but this can’t be true: they didn’t do it at the beginning, and one of the fans does it way more than the other. The timing also is random, but very unluckily it happens to me the most at night, SO THAT I WAKE UP IN A POOL OF SWEAT. And when you wake up like that, it’s not a simple matter of just turning the fan back on and going back to sleep. It’s now past the return period as well. So I have to order another fan.To round out the review:- I like that it’s very easy to clean, and it is taller than most tower fans.- It’s fairly strong and quiet.- It does not move/circulate air.- The reach of the breeze is pretty short, around 5′. – Footprint is rather bigger than other tower fans I’ve had. It is also a slightly heavier fan. It banged painfully into my foot when I tried to move it with one hand (which I can do with other towers no problem). However, it wouldn’t matter if it secretly air conditioned: the fact that they automatically shut off randomly is absolutely unbearable to anyone who uses a fan to sleep.
